The Knox City Police Department had a busy year last year.
In his annual report, Police Chief Clint Norem stated that 4,207 calls were made to the department in 2012 with 116 accident reports taken and 384 incident reports written.
Thirty-three Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated arrests were made; there were 33 Public Intoxication arrests and 55 juvenile charges were filed. One hundred and forty-two people were arrested on 172 traffic charges, 343 people were arrested on 636 criminal charges and five people were charged with ordinance violations.
Forty-nine battery arrests were recorded, 75 warrant arrests were made and 198 drug charges were filed.
