The Starke County Chamber of Commerce has announced the winner of the Henry F. Schricker Award for 2012.
This year’s recipient is Joseph Eugene “Gene” Blastic of Bass Lake. Gene has served Starke County in many ways and exemplifies Schricker’s motto of “Service before Self.”
Blastic will be honored at the Henry F. Schricker Award dinner on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. CT at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. CT.
Call the Starke County Chamber of Commerce office to purchase your ticket for the awards banquet at (574) 772-5548. Tickets are $25 paid via mail and $30 at the door. Reservations are required.
The Chamber’s First Annual Business of the Year will also be honored. The Specialty Shoppe was this year’s winner and Robin and Suzie Marshall will be recognized during the award ceremony.
