Two Plymouth residents were arrested after a traffic stop conducted by Marshall County Police on Friday, Jan. 25.
The deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by David Howe for an alleged equipment violation. While the officer was checking the license and warrant status for the occupants, Jeffrey Knoebel reportedly fled from the vehicle.
The officer attempted to chase down Knoebel and deployed his taser when he reportedly failed to comply with the officer’s demands. Knoebel immediately stopped after the taser hit him.
Consent was given to search the vehicle and police reportedly found methamphetamine belonging to another passenger, Anissa Beem. She was arrested on the Possession charge.
Knoebel was taken into custody on preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and False Informing. He also had a warrant out for his arrest out of Starke County.
The driver, David Howe, was released with a traffic citation.
