An altercation in Marshall County led to one man being hospitalized for a knife wound and a suspect on the loose. Marshall County police were called to the Plymouth Hospital Emergency Room at around 7:53 p.m. in response to a male subject with a knife wound to the stomach, and an investigation led police to find the suspect, Brian Tapia, had left the residence before police could arrive.
Through the investigation, police determined that an altercation had taken place at a residence in the 19000 block of Lincoln Highway, west of Plymouth on Friday. Authorities say the altercation led to the man, Aaron Fear, being stabbed once in the abdomen. Fortunately, he was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend due to the injury and has since been reported to be in stable condition.
Brian Tapia of Plymouth is still wanted by Plymouth police, and officials are encouraging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Marshall County Police Department at (574) 936-3187.
