The Northern Indiana Community Foundation announced last week that the foundation has chosen a new executive director: Jay Albright will fill the position for the three-county foundation, which represents the Community Foundations for Starke, Fulton, and Miami counties. Albright will be responsible for directing local offices and developing the foundation’s missing to connect donors with causes that are important to them.
Former NICF President and Interim Executive Director Susan Perkins said the foundation is excited to have Jay on board and look forward to building on their strong history as they prepare to celebrate the foundation’s 20th anniversary. Jay has been a member of the NIFC board for six years and she said he has an understanding of the organization and its mission.
Alright was previously the executive director of the Compassionate Healthcare Center in Rochester, but boasts many years of experience with managerial and financial institutions including Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru, Rochester Homes in Rochester and Wells Fargo Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and a master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Albright will continue to be assisted by the current staff and offices in Rochester, Peru and North Judson. The fifteen-member Board of Directors of the NICF is made up of five members from each of the counties the organization serves and actively manages donor contributions, endowments, bequests, and memorials, and the organization also supports local charitable organizations and conducts annual granting and scholarship programs.
