If you’re heading to Valpo today, you may want to avoid the downtown area.
An early morning fire destroyed a building at the southeast corner of Lincolnway and Michigan Street.
The fire is out, but crews are expected to remain in the area throughout the day as they investigate the cause. This is just east of the Porter County Courthouse.
The building housed Sistar Mortgage and several other small businesses. There’s no word yet on the cause of the blaze.
