Street Superintendent Jeff Borg told the members of the Board of Works that there is a full stock of salt. He stated that last year, the department didn’t even use 80 percent of the salt due to the mild winter but they are close to that mark this year.
Workers were out last week patching potholes after a fresh load of asphalt patch was brought in from Logansport. Borg is sure there will be plenty more before the spring season gets into full swing.
Meanwhile, the crews will be out in full force today in plow trucks to prepare for the winter weather.
