James L. Jackson, 24, was transported back to LaPorte from Jackson County, Ala. on Friday. Jackson is suspected of robbing a 1st Source banking branch on Boyd Blvd in LaPorte on Feb. 28.
Although he did not display a weapon, he indicated he had one in a written note he gave the teller. He did leave the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was then found in Alabama three days later and incarcerated.
He is currently in the LaPorte County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
