Open House Scheduled for Plymouth’s Comprehensive Plan

The city of Plymouth’s new comprehensive plan is ready to be publicly displayed and can be seen during an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. ET tonight at the Marshall County Museum in downtown Plymouth.

It’s been six months in the making and a public hearing on the proposed plan will be held in April. The plan has been updated since being adopted in 2003.

Tonight’s open house will showcase several parts of the new plan including the city gateway and the downtown gateway. An economic development section was added. The plan includes goals, policies and recommendations for growth and development. Policies may cover a variety of topics including land use, utilities, redevelopment, transportation, parks and recreation, sustainability and economic development.

Representatives from the project’s steering committee and Ratio Architects will be on hand to answer any questions during tonight’s open house.
