The Henry F. Schricker Public Library sponsored a cupcake contest at the library last week. The theme was “How does the community relate to the library?” Nine people submitted their creations to a panel of judges who taste-tested all of the submissions.
The judges were from WKVI Radio, Mexico Lindo, County Kettle and Christo’s Restaurant. A variety of different flavors and textures pleased the judges as they chomped and sampled.
Congratulations to Gary Landrum who won the challenge with his Chocolate Lovers Cupcakes. Second place went to Cherie Burns with her Key Lime Cupcakes and Mariah Keehn was the third place finisher.
The library hopes to sponsor another one of these fun events in the near future.
