The North Judson-San Pierre School Board this week adopted their 2014 budget for capital projects and bus replacement, and Superintendent Lynn Johnson said the other budgets were approved by the county council at their meeting earlier this week, including the Debt Service, General Fund and Pension budgets.
All of the budgets, Johnson explained, were advertised before a public hearing, and ultimately adopted. The public hearing took place on Aug. 5 and the county council adopted the budgets at their meeting on Aug. 19.
This, she said, was the last step before the budgets are submitted to the Department of Local Government Finance for final approval. Following that, Johnson explained the corporation will get their budgeted funds in January.
