The Miss Pulaski County Pageant Committee has announced they will be welcoming this year’s Miss Pulaski County, Alyssa Garnett, back to the county on Sept. 20 with a huge celebration to honor her accomplishment in being crowned the 2014 Miss Indiana State Fair Queen. Garnett beat out 87 other candidates, becoming the third contestant to represent Pulaski County as Miss Indiana State Fair.
The pageant committee is now encouraging businesses and residents to show their support in welcoming Garnett back to the community by painting business windows or changing outside signs to a congratulatory message for Garnett before she comes home on Sept. 20. Alternatively, the committee is encouraging anyone to donate to the Miss Pulaski County Queen Pageant to help offset the cost of a billboard erected on U.S. 35 across from the Winamac Shopping Plaza, congratulating Garnett on her accomplishment.
During Garnett’s weekend home, she will attend several events and residents are encouraged to stop by and say hello. She will be presenting the game ball for Winamac’s homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 20, and she will also be presented with a special honor from a local business at the game. On Saturday, Sept. 21, Garnett and her Miss Pulaski Court will be attending the Francesville Fall Festival. They will be visiting with community members and riding in the local parade during the day.
Garnett will make appearances throughout 2013-2014 on behalf of the Indiana State Fair. It is also the
committee’s goal to have her help at community events. If you have any questions or would like to
request Garnett for an appearance, call Bailey Hoover at (574) 595-0875.
