The downtown Winamac area will soon become a veritable winter wonderland, presented by the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. The charming holiday celebration will feature a variety of events and activities including craft and business booths, great sales at local businesses, free children’s activities and refreshments.
On top of that, the Lion’s Club will hold a toy drive and the Boy Scouts will hold a coat drive. Free cookies and cocoa will be offered inside the courthouse, and the train depot will be open with a running model train. A photography contest display will be available for viewing, as well as a gingerbread house display and the Iris Elm Garden Club holiday arrangements. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also stop by the event, with entertaining songs of the holidays and a holiday parade.
Horse and carriage rides will also be offered; afterward, stop by the Lion’s Club for a luncheon or check out the holiday lights contest. The Holiday Home Tour is set for Friday, Dec. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Many more activities are also planned, with a map of vendor locations available come November.
