This unique observation during Red Ribbon Week helps reinforce the message to say no to drugs. The 200-300 bulbs provided will be planted near each school building. The red tulips will bloom in the spring and will be a reminder to stay drug free.
Most tulips to be planted will bloom in April where it will be a visual reminder to the students to be drug and tobacco free. The tulips will also bloom during National Alcohol Awareness Month and serve as a reminder to stay sober.
The tulip bulbs were provided to the schools by the Drug and Tobacco Free Starke County organization.
