Ryan Blaney will have his hands full this weekend as he takes the wheel in the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150 for Brad Keselowski Racing (BKR) in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) on Friday and the No. 48 AutoZone Ford Mustang for Penske Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) on Saturday at Phoenix International Raceway.
This will be Blaney’s second career start at Phoenix International Raceway in the NCWTS. Last season, Blaney finished fifth after starting on the outside pole. His BKR team is 8th in the championship standings.
“Phoenix is a really awesome track and I’m excited to get out there later this week with my Cooper Standard team and make up some points from last week’s disappointing finish at Texas. I want to finish this season on a high note and it will certainly take a team effort this weekend at PIR to get back on track,” said Blaney.
AutoZone, a company who announced this week they will be an associate sponsor of Joey Logano’s No. 22 Penske Racing Ford in the Sprint Cup Series, will be the primary sponsor for Blaney’s ride at Phoenix in the NNS series. This will be Blaney’s second start in a Penske Racing car this season in the Nationwide Series. He drove the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford at Kentucky Speedway on Sept. 21 and won the race. It was his first ever win in the series.
Catch Blaney in the NCWTS race on Friday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET and in the NNS race on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. ET.
