Michael McDowell will be driving the No. 95 Ford for Leavine Family Racing in 2014.
McDowell worked with the team at this season’s Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway and indicated that he’s ready to get started.
“I feel pretty good looking ahead to next season,” McDowell said. “I’m looking forward to getting back to the shop and seeing what we have on tap for the winter in order to continue to get better.”
Additionally, the initiation of a Nationwide team near the end of the 2013 season has those in the Leavine Family Racing organization optimistic for a great 2014 season.
The team made its NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in October at Charlotte Motor Speedway with driver Reed Sorenson.
“We were able to finish strong this season and that gives us confidence for next season,” said team owner Bob Leavine. “We made significant progress throughout the season and with the competition level so high, forward progress of any kind is always encouraging. I think I can speak for the entire family by saying that we are all extremely excited to get to Daytona again in February.”
Leavine Family Racing will utilize the Ford Fusion and get its engines from Roush Yates Engines and chassis support from Penske Racing.
