Two out of county residents were arrested by Marshall County officers after a traffic stop in the early morning hours on Thursday.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle owned by 54-year-old Leisa Brooks of Indianapolis near the U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 interchange. Officers conducted an investigation and allegedly found approximately 200 grams of marijuana.
Brooks and the driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old James Skelton of Madison Heights, Michigan were taken into custody. They were booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Dealing/Delivering Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana over 30 grams.
This case will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
