A Plymouth man was sentenced to ten years in the Indiana Department of Corrections after pleading guilty in a plea agreement with the State to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, a Class B felony.
Derek Hahn, 21, admitted that he manufactured the drug in his apartment located in the 200 block of Elliott Avenue in Plymouth. Police searched the apartment after officers conducted a traffic stop and found him to be under the influence. Hahn admitted that he had injected himself with methamphetamine and that led police to seek permission to search his apartment.
The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office noted that this was Hahn’s first involvement with the criminal justice system and Marshall County Superior Court Judge Robert O. Bowen approved the plea agreement that called for four years suspended from his sentence.
