The RAB Racing team of James Buescher in the NASCAR Nationwide Series team was penalized after NASCAR officials found added car weight, improperly attached weight and loss of weight during the race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.
According to NASCAR, the No. 99 team committed a P3 level penalty by violating Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 20A-2.3A.
Crew Chief Chris Rice was fined $10,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31. Car Chief Jon Guerra has been placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
