The Culver Park Board met last night, but was unable to reach a quorum due to two members being absent from the meeting. One board member was out of town while the other was unable to make it due to illness; as a result, the board was unable to approve any motions, but still discussed a number of items related to the town park.
Some of the items discussed include the work performed by Pro Tree Service, the Christmas lights still strung up, and the park’s point of sale system. Pro Tree Service this week removed a number of downed tree limbs and cut down damaged hanging limbs. The Christmas lights are expected to be removed this week, and park officials are still investigating a new point of sale system for the park. It was reported that several companies are still submitting information on the systems.
Another issue brought up concerned the park’s garbage cans and dumpster. It was pointed out that the garbage cans are in bad shape and need to be power washed, while the dumpster provided by Allied Waste is becoming dilapidated and the bottom is rusted out; fortunately, Allied has said they will replace the dumpster for the park to prevent any issues.
The park board will next meet April 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
