The Eastern Pulaski School Board approved a contract with Educational Service Center and hired Kaylyn Herrold as a Dietician to aid the cafeteria staff.
Superintendent Dan Foster said she can help the staff in keeping up with federal guidelines.
“She can help us with menus and purchasing and the federal guidelines,” said Foster. “It’s kinda crazy and unfortunately we’re finding ourselves in a position that we’re trying to meet all of the guidelines but are we doing any good if half of the meals are being thrown away at the end because kids don’t like it. We’re hoping she can be very helpful to that.”
The contract is for one year.
