The North Judson-San Pierre School Board members unanimously approved a donation from a local business.
Chester, Inc., a company that specializes in irrigation systems with manufacturing plants in Valparaiso and North Judson, donated $500 to the school.
Superintendent Lynn Johnson told the school board members that the money will be used in the agriculture classes at the high school. She said this is the second year Chester has made this generous donation.
The money comes at a time when the school corporation is having to cut over $1 million in their budget. The board members approved the donation at their meeting this week.
