The Oregon-Davis School Board members decided to advertise for bids for gasoline and diesel fuel for the 2014-2015 school year.
Superintendent Greg Briles said they will be looking for fuel bids and another aspect after experiencing problems at the school’s campus this winter.
“Removing the fuel islands from the school corporation grounds will be one aspect,” said Briles. “If the co-op in Hamlet were to win that bid, then we would just fuel our buses in there and work with them. We’re being proactive. Last year it was so cold some of our buses did have gelling issues. That way we would just be using their fuel and their additives and not have to worry about some of our tank issues that we encountered out here.”
