This Saturday July 19th, you have the opportunity to assist a child’s educational experience. This weekend is the back to school supply drive where Kid’s Closet will be collecting any school supplies for their annual ‘Pack a Back Pack’ event. Kid’s Closet an outreach ministry aimed at aiding the youth of Starke County from the time they’re born through high school. Disadvantaged children can receive clothes and other items they may need through the program. Founder and director Linda Lewandowski said that Kid’s Closet Ministry volunteers will be stationed with donation bins outside of certain stores in Starke County on Saturday.
“We will be at the Dollar General stores in both Knox and North Judson from 8 a.m to 2 p.m collecting school supplies. Additional supplies can be dropped off at the North Judson United Methodist Church anytime before August 4th which is our event.”
Notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, erasers, markers, crayons and any other school supply you know you couldn’t make it without can be donated. Every supply helps the cause. Help all Starke County students be prepared when school starts this fall.
