A 50-year-old man and a juvenile were recently arrested for their alleged role in dealing cocaine.
Officers from the LaPorte County Metro Operations Unit arrested Joseph M. Szynal and the 15-year-old juvenile without incident at a home in the 100 block of McClung Road in LaPorte. Cocaine was seized in this incident.
An investigation led to the arrest of the pair for the distribution of cocaine in and around the city of LaPorte.
Szynal was booked into the LaPorte County Jail on a warrant for two counts of dealing a schedule II controlled substance (cocaine). He has since bonded out of the jail after posting a $25,000 bond. The 15-year-old Chicago boy was charged with dealing in a schedule II controlled substance as a Level 4 felony. He was taken to the LaPorte County Juvenile Justice Center where he remains in custody.
