
Formal charges are pending against a Granger woman accused of driving under the influence with a child in her vehicle.

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled a car driven by Cynthia Ann Baringer over on Michigan Road at Vandalia Street in LaPaz shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. A department news release indicates Baringer’s license was suspended. Certified tests also indicated she was driving under the influence of illegal substances, according to the arresting officer. Preliminary charges include operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a passenger less than 18 years of age, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a passenger less than 18 years of age, operating a vehicle while intoxicated controlled substance, neglect of a dependent endangering life or health and driving while suspended prior. The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the file at this time.
