The 17th annual Monterey Days Festival is back this weekend.
Festivities get under way Friday with the Mister and Miss Monterey Days Pageant.
Saturday’s events include the Knights of Columbus pancake and sausage breakfast at 8 a.m. EDT and free carnival rides at 10 a.m. while the tractor pull will start up an hour later at 11. Later on Saturday The Monterey Days Parade will begin around 5 p.m. and will be followed by kiss the pig contest.
Sunday will be filled with things to do like the fireman’s waterball challenge or the watermelon eating contest. Sunday will be finished off by The Nightshift Band at 7 p.m.
The last day of events on Monday there will be a car show, the ok roast, corn hole and 3 on 3 basketball tournaments.
