A Denham man remains jailed without bond in Pulaski County, where he’s accused of killing his live-in girlfriend.
Prosecutor Stacey Mrack formally charged Paul Katschke, 39, with murder Wednesday afternoon. She is not seeking the death penalty. Pulaski Circuit Judge Michael Shurn appointed Kevin Tankersley as Katschke’s public defender. Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and first responders found Amber Rene Taylor, 34, dead at the couple’s home Monday morning after receiving a 911 call about a dead 30-something-year-old woman at the Denham residence. They immediately picked Katschke up for questioning, and he’s been in jail since. Shurn tells WKVI Katschke’s next court appearance is Oct. 14 in Pulaski Circuit Court.
