Two men were arrested in LaPorte County on Wednesday after a drug investigation by the LaPorte County Metro Operations Unit.
A search warrant was executed by LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department Warrants Division officers in the 1200 block of Jackson Street in LaPorte where drug evidence was seized.
Devonte Stevens, 19, of Chicago was arrested without incident and has a preliminary charge of dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony. He is being held in the LaPorte County Jail with a bond set in the amount of $50,000.
Anthony Santolino, 44, of LaPorte, was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony. He is being held in the LaPorte County Jail on a $750 bond.
The pair will be in LaPorte Circuit Court for an initial hearing today.
