U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski will visit Pulaski, Starke, Marshall, St. Joseph and LaPorte Counties next week as part of a district-wide education tour. She wants to hear from education officials, community leaders and students about ways to improve opportunities and prepare students for a globally competitive workforce.
On Wednesday she will visit West Central High School in Francesville and the Starke County Initiative for Lifelong Learning. While at the SCILL Center, Walorski will receive a briefing on the welding program.
Thursday’s agenda includes a tour of John Glenn High School in Walkerton, where Walorski will highlight their music program, and a visit to the South LaPorte County Special Education Cooperative. She will also tour Plymouth High School and hear from officials there about Project Lead The Way.
