NASCAR penalized the No. 74 team or a rules infraction committed during Nationwide Series practice on Sept. 26 at Dover International Speedway.
Officials found that a weight fell out of the racecar during the event as it was not properly attached. That was a violation of the rules concerning car weight and it was found to be an action detrimental to stock car racing.
Mark Harmon’s crew chief Gary Ritter has been fined $10,000 and was placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
