A Rochester woman was injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday night.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a teenaged Plymouth resident was traveling north on Michigan Road north of 15th Road and turning left into a driveway behind another vehicle. Judy Pritchett, 50, of Rochester was traveling south on Michigan Road and was struck in the driver’s side by the teenager’s vehicle.
Pritchett was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated from the wreckage by members of the Argos Fire Department. She was airlifted to the hospital due to her injuries.
Witnesses told police that Pritchett’s vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, came over a hillcrest and was not visible when the teen began the turn, according to the news release. That part of the accident remains under investigation.
