Washington Township officials are looking for ideas on how to improve the Washington Township Park property, also known as the old Washington Township school.
Fundraising ideas are being considered to improve the property.
Bids were taken two years ago for the demolition of the building, but repairs to the Washington Township Community Building took precedence to provide a nice facility for community events.
The replacement of heating and cooling units to more cost efficient equipment is estimated at nearly $40,000 while a new roof for the community building is expected to cost around $20,000.
Bids to demolish the school came in around $18,000 to $100,000.
A committee is being formed to discuss ideas for the future of the old Washington Township school. If you are interested, call the Washington Township Trustee at (574) 772-7746.
