Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer told the commissioners this week that there are several businesses looking to expand their operations. Origer said it’s time to look for more funding in the Revolving Loan Fund.
“We have a couple of businesses in the community who have approached me in the last two weeks that are interested in expanding and possibly trying to borrow from the RLF (Revolving Loan Fund),” said Origer. “Wednesday afternoon I’m going up to the Department of Ag’s Rural Development office in Knox to look into some of their funding opportunities to expand our Revolving Loan Fund because right now we only have about $70,000. Any one of these three who have approached me just in the last week or two are probably going to kill that. That’s a good thing but it’s a bad thing.”
Origer added that this would allow the county to make more funds available for other expansion plans should they arise.
