The suspect in a Nov. 30 stabbing that sent a Knox man to a South Bend hospital is behind bars. Benton Christopher Howard, 42, surrendered without incident this morning to Knox Police.
He’s jailed on a $250,000 surety bond. Howard is charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery. Howard is accused of stabbing Brandon Davidson in the chest, causing one of his lungs to collapse and damaging his heart. Davidson was brought to IU Health Starke Hospital around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30 with a stab wound and transferred to another facility. Formal charges against Howard were filed on Dec. 2.
