The Starke County Historical Society received a check for $5,000 from the Starke County Genealogical Society on Sunday at the annual museum open house on Sunday. The gift will be added to the museum’s building and acquisition fund. The museum is currently using only the Main Street home of former Gov. and Mrs. Henry F. Schricker.
The County’s Historical Society is remodeling the former office of Dr. Walter Fritz on U.S. 35 South, in Knox, for much needed additional display and storage space. Dr. Fritz continues his practice in facilities on Edgewood Drive.
To make a gift to assist the Museum in its expansion project, contact President Ron Vendl at 772-5393 or Vice President Jim Shilling at 772-4311.
