The Starke County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate an Thursday incident that left an infant requiring medical treatment.
Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle accident near North Judson on Thursday night. Police arrived on scene around 11:30 p.m.
A small child was found restrained in a car seat. Further investigation revealed no other individuals around the scene of the vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the child was taken to an area hospital to be treated for frostbite. No names are being released at this time. The condition of the infant is currently unavailable.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department says they will continue to investigate the matter.
