State Senator Jim Arnold has introduced a resolution to honor the Indiana Sheriff’s Association.
The measure was introduced earlier this week in Indianapolis. The LaPorte Democrat spent 36 years in law enforcement, rising through the ranks to become LaPorte County Sheriff in 2007.
The resolution recognizes the 85th anniversary of the Sheriff’s Association, and for what Arnold says are its contribution to the citizens of Indiana.
SR 12 continues a pattern of legislation Arnold has filed that aids law enforcement in their daily duties. Other bills have included measures to provide certain protections as they pertain to toy guns.
The Sheriff’s Association works to improve communication between county sheriff’s and other law enforcement personnel.
Arnold says the work the Sheriffs do is invaluable.
