A man wanted for failure to register as a sex offender is now in custody.
According to LaPorte County Sheriff John Boyd, Sir Moore was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Moore has a lifetime requirement to register his residence as he was previously convicted of child molesting.
LaPorte police were given tips on Moore’s whereabouts after media outlets reported a warrant for his arrest on Tuesday afternoon. Moore was located at a residence on Michigan Boulevard in Michigan City by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.
Moore was booked into the LaPorte County Jail.
