The Town of Winamac will soon be able to provide some better services for its residents.
A new Town website is anticipated to launch this week. The websites’ development was started in October of 2014. The company developing the site has spent the last several months gathering information from the Town to better supply residents with proper information.
Winamac Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger says residents can also ask questions.
“Going to the website, they’ll be able to – if they have questions – go to the website, check it out. If they can’t find the answers, give us a call and we’ll go from there,” says Berger.
The Town believes that residents should have better access to information with the new website.
The only thing that’s considered a new service is that residents will now be able to pay certain bills through the website.
The Town of Winamac hopes that service will be operational by the end of next week. Berger says the website will also be maintained as Town ordinances are considered and adopted.
“We’ll be able to update it, and put that stuff on there ourselves and dates that come up, we’ll be able to maintain and operate the calendar, we’ll learn more as we get into it,” says Berger.
No action was taken on the matter during Monday night’s Winamac Town Council meeting.
