A traffic stop in North Judson on Thursday led to the arrest of two Illinois residents on drug charges.
North Judson K9 officer Scott Beishuisen performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Luken and Sycamore Streets. K9 Gunner was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and indicated the presence of narcotics, according to a news release. A search of the vehicle reportedly uncovered narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, Destiny N. Gruba of Cicero, Illinois and Crystle R. Cedano, 27, of Lyons, Illinois were arrested without incident. Gruba faces preliminary felony charges of dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Cedano has a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana.
