The trial of a murder defendant in Pulaski County has been rescheduled. Paul Katschke is accused of killing his live-in girlfriend, Amber Renee Taylor, last Aug. 11 at the couple’s Denham home.
His trial was originally set to start May 4 in Pulaski Circuit Court. During what was to be a final pretrial conference late last week, it was reset for July 27-29.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies and first responders got a 911 call about a dead, 30-something year old woman and found Taylor dead at the couple’s home. Katchke was immediately arrested and charged with murder two days later. Then-Pulaski County Prosecutor Stacey Mrak opted not to seek the death penalty.
