A new container to collect unwanted, expired and unused prescription medications will be installed at the Pulaski County Justice Center.
Sheriff Jeff Richwine recently applied for a $600 grant through CVS and the company approved grant recipients this week. Sheriff Richwine’s request was approved.
He reported to the commissioners in a previous setting that a more secure container needs to be installed to prevent theft of medications. The grant will allow the department to purchase a container that is shaped like a standing mailbox. It’s designed so a deposit can’t be withdrawn. Richwine said residents can safely dispose of medications into the container located in the justice center.
The addition will be installed once the purchase is made.
