Time is running out for students in the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation to nominate their father or grandfather for honors during the Mint Festival. Handwritten Father and Grandfather of the Year essays are due tomorrow.
The essay writer will receive a $50 prize, and the father and grandfather of the year will each get $25 and a plaque. Winners will be announced Friday, June 19 after the Mint Festival opening ceremony at Norwayne Field and will also ride in the Mint Festival Parade on Sunday, June 21. Essays should be mailed to Mint Festival Contest, P.O. Box 33, North Judson, IN 46366.
