Knox residents can have yard sales on Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20 without applying for permits from the city after action Tuesday night by the council. They agreed to schedule a two-day city-wide yard sale during the Harvest Festival.
It’s being revived after a hiatus, and officials hope the yard sales will draw more visitors to the community. The disposal of yard sale leftovers remains a concern, as the dumpsters provided by the city after last month’s four-day sales were overflowing. The city will provide at least one dumpster this time.
