The North Judson Mint Festival continues today and tomorrow with plenty more for you and the family to do. Start the day off with a pancake breakfast from 7 am until 10 am at the Masonic Lodge. If you’re still hungry and looking for bit of friendly competition, attend the pie eating contest at 11 am at Lane St & Sycamore.
However if you’re stuffed from the pancake breakfast and looking for something different, check out the pet parade taking place at 11 am in the North Judson Town Park. Bingo is set to commence at noon in the tent between the Police Department and the library. The Tippecanoe Twirlers will perform at 1 pm on Lane St. next to the Mint Headquarters booth. A corn-hole tournament is scheduled for 4 pm at the Irish Pub. If you’re feeling peckish towards the end of the day there will be a spaghetti dinner from 4 o’clock until 7 pm at the Fire &Faith Worship center located at 301 Lane St.
The final day of the festival begins with a Heartland Christian Worship Service in Norwayne Field from 10:30 am until noon. Another pancake breakfast will take place, but this time in conjunction with a bake sale in the Catholic Church basement from 7 am until noon. Parade registration takes place at 11 am in the High School parking lot. Parade line-up and judging will happen around 1 pm on Campbell Ave. The parade itself will commence at 3 pm and start at NJ-SP High School, turn on State Road 10 and then turn onto Main St.
Various bands will be providing entertainment in Norwayne Field through out the weekend. Other entertainment includes puppet and magic shows as well as arts and crafts.
