Officials from the National Weather Service are due in Starke County this afternoon to survey damage from yesterday’s storms. Emergency Management Agency Director Ted Bombagetti says the most significant damage occurred on 400 South between 600 and 700 West.
Multiple trees were toppled by the wind, homes were damaged, a garage was knocked down and crops were damaged. The National Weather Service surveyors will determine whether a tornado touched down. In San Pierre on 750 West, the winds were strong enough to flip three center pivot agriculture irrigators. No injuries were reported.
