No contraband was found in the personal belongings of the 62 Starke County Jail inmates, according to Sheriff Bill Dulin.
He tells WKVI News they were moved without incident from the jail in downtown Knox into the new $15 million correctional facility on State Road 8 on Wednesday. As part of that move, each inmate was given a see-through plastic bag for their items. Those were taken from them and searched at the new detention center. Each inmate was also strip-searched by jail staff.
