The Town of Medaryville has a new council member. President Derrick Stalbaum resigned recently due to his relocation outside the town limits. The Pulaski County Democratic Party named Robert Schultz to the council, effective immediately, to fill out the remainder of his term. It is up this year.
Schultz was one of four candidates who sought the appointment, according to party chair Laura Bailey. He was previously named to the council to fill the remainder of Ricky Prater’s term, but opted not to run for the seat in the 2011 municipal election. “Bob’s experience will be an asset to helping continue the forward movement of the current Medaryville projects,” Bailey said in a statement. The next Medaryville council meeting is scheduled Wednesday, June 17.
