Several roads are closed in Pulaski County following recent flooding. However high water isn’t the only problem the highway department is addressing. Currently crews are out working on filling in some sinkholes that have sprouted up in the area.
100 S between US 35 and 50 East has signs marking a hole in road. Road 300 W north of 400 S, located near Moss Creek Country Club, is closed due to a sinkhole in the road. Crews are currently waiting on ordered culverts to come in to finish up the job.
The project requiring the most labor is a 175 to 180 feet washout of the north side of a ditch located on 200 N east of 600 West. Currently a crew of about 6 to 8 people are working on the washout. These roads will remained closed until further notice.
Crews have finished working on 200 N west of state road 39 so that road is no longer closed.
